What to expect

A quick tour through the preparation and the web copywriting course itself

Looking to book one of our web copywriting courses? You don’t need to do much – just email copywriters@blackad.co.uk or call 0203 603 7740. Here’s what happens next:

Finding out more

  • Chat – we’ll book in a half hour quick phone call to get a grip on what you need to achieve
  • Ask – we’ll send an online survey to the attendees, so that we can judge their copywriting skills and needs
  • Propose – expect an email with a detailed outline of the course. Need to add, cut or amend something? Just ask – it doesn’t cost any more.

Building your copywriting course

  • Bombard us – send us pages you’d like to focus on, brochures, tone of voice documents... anything
  • Reality check – we gather pages from your website (or competitor sites, if you prefer) to illustrate our points and form the basis of our exercises

During the course

  • No silly warm-ups – instead, we build a practical, fun ice-breaker that’s rooted in your web copy
  • Start and finish – we normally arrive at 9am, start at 9.30am and finish at 4.30pm
  • Breaks – it’s really up to you, but we normally suggest two fifteen minute breaks and an hour for lunch.

After we’ve gone

  • Course pack – we’ll email across a nifty little checklist and a PDF of the slides
  • Guide – we’ll also send everyone  a link to download our guide to web copywriting; it’s a good way to reinforce the skills we nurture on the course
  • Feedback – we ask everyone to fill out a very, very short online survey... we then share the results with you
  • Get us back in – many clients ask us to run advanced sessions, Plain English workshops and intranet writing courses
